Feed A Cold, Starve A Blog!

As you all may have noticed, it's been pretty quite around here. The experiment is going full steam ahead, we're all eating well and things are looking financially solid (check out our cash pot on the side bar)! However, the blog itself has been on the back burner a bit while Mama Jolicoeur recovers from her cold. James has taken care of everything in the meanwhile ( double duty: work, kids and cooking up a storm! ). Aleli is on the mend though so life will be coming back into balance soon...... stay tuned.

Amongst the living again, Aleli brews up....... what else?..... oatmeal for breakfast! She basks in the morning sun and breathes deep the healing steam that swirled from our daily gruel.

Julian signs the word "more" for his morning porridge refill. Smart baby! A "please sir, may I have some more" moment if ever we saw one!

Beans and rice dinner by candlelight.............. not exactly romantic, but very economical and tasty!
